Technology Support Specialist
Searching for experienced Technology Support Specialist (TSSpec) to provide first-tier technical support to the staff and students of the school building(s) assigned. Essential duties include diagnosing, troubleshooting, and break-fix support for all computing platforms and peripheral equipment; setup, configuration, and deployment of new equipment; recommending, researching, and implementation of new hardware and software solutions for end users.
This position requires knowledge of Windows and Apple iOS operating systems; and MCPS instructional and administrative applications used in a network environment; and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will possess good written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal abilities for working effectively with teachers, administrators, and students. Must be able to demonstrate ability to diagnose and repair hardware/software problems; and knowledge of principles, concepts, and processes related to installing and maintaining applicable instructional technologies.
- Associates degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting computer hardware and applications.
- Industry-standard certifications preferred
- A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
2017-2018 Salary Range: $59,975 - $105,331
