You will serve as the primary IT resource for Brightview community-based systems and IT processes.You will translate operational business needs into systems solutions with assistance from subject matter experts, document system requirements and specifications in cooperation with business sponsor(s).In addition, you will prepare project plans and timetables for project team to use in system design and implementation; oversee execution of the plans to ensure compliance with project deliverables and deadlines; report variances to project sponsor(s). The IT Project Manager will manage application implementations or upgrade projects and ensure resource and financial estimates are completed for all projects; tracking actual progress vs. budget.The IT Project Manager position is a unique opportunity to be part of a team that is essential to Shelter's success and future growth, not to mention a company that was recently awarded Baltimore's Best Places to Work by the Baltimore Sun in 2016!Supervisory responsibilities: Mentors and coaches less experienced staff in project management skills. Manages project teams comprised of both junior and senior level associates from various departments. Handles difficult situations and addresses issues through coordination of resources.Essential Skills, Experience and Talents: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related discipline and three years' experience leading technology based projects.Demonstrated expertise in project management practices and skills, systems analysis and quality assurance techniques, project planning and control, communication, training and presentation techniques.Project Management Certification a plus.Ability to initiate, monitor and control multiple projects and activities.Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent computer skills with the ability to quickly master new technology and applications. Ability to apply reason, logic, and advanced problem solving skills to resolve complex issues.Dedicated to quality and on-schedule results; sensitivity to user needs and environment.Ability to manage and track project related budgets.Excellent written communication skills including proper grammar and professional writing.Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with and present information to a wide range of individuals and business partners.Ability to work effectively with associates at all levels of the organization and directing the work of others without a direct reporting relationship.
