Telecommunications Quality Control Inspector
Candidates should be knowledgeable on ISP/OSP design, installation, and testing. Strong working knowledge of NEC, RUS bulletins, EIA/TIA, BICSI, I3A guide, MUTCD, and OSHA rules are necessary for this position. Candidates should have an understanding of all phases of telecommunications infrastructure installation (ISP / OSP), and have experience in cable test plan development and implementation. Familiar working with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and ISEC on military construction and overseas work experience is a plus. A RCDD certification is preferred for this position. This position is located in Pyongtaek, Korea and requires a TS clearance.
This position requires candidates to perform telecommunications quality control inspections on Government military construction projects in Pyongtaek, Korea. Candidates will review ISP, OSP, C4I active and passive installations for quality deviations and report their findings to the Government for action. Inspections will be performed utilize checklists. Candidates may also be responsible for reviewing designs, attending construction or stakeholder meetings to discuss projects and are responsible for ensuring inspection tasks are conducted in a timely manner. Candidates must be able to read and interpret construction drawings, details, one-line drawings, symbols and specifications/codes. The ability to write clear and concise reports (via computer and other mobile devices) on a weekly basis is an essential part of this job.Education Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline. In lieu of a degree, 15 years experience in Telecommunications. Qualifications 10-15 years of related telecommunications experience.
