Strong preference will be given to individuals who have prior military experience and or experience working within a deployed multi-national environment.   Specific duties include:

    Analyzes voice, video, radio-frequency, and/or data communications networks, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting, and upgrading operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devices.Plans network layouts and configures systems to user environments.Analyzes network topologies and traffic and capacity requirements.Supports the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed.May provide technical support and troubleshooting to users.May perform network administration duties.May serve as technical team lead and provide guidance to less experienced employees.Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.Participates in special projects as required.Provide SATCOM installation and maintenance.Evaluates hardware and software, including peripheral, output, and related equipment. Participates in the development and implementation of network-related procedures and standards. Participates in and may lead aspects of major network installations and upgrades. Interfaces with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance. Develops and implements testing strategies and document results. Load crypto and maintain COMSEC requirements.Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems.Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network analysis and design.Knowledge of routers, switches, patch panels, concentrators, associated terminals, and related network hardware and software.Knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications.Must have experience in some or all of the following:
      Installation, configuration, and management of Comtech Skywire SATCOM modemsInstallation of mobile and fixed SATCOM dishes, to include Prodelin and Norsat SigmaLink dishesInstallation, configuration, and management of Motorola point-to-point Microwave equipmentInstallation, configuration, and management of Motorola WiMAX Access Points and clientsInstallation, configuration, and management of Aruba Wireless Access Points and Wireless ControllerFrequency managementSATCOM and RF experience and troubleshooting skillsInstallation, assembly, and troubleshooting of RF and power cablesExperience climbing towersCopper/Coaxial Connector Fabrication and Repair
    Network experience, CCNA certification (preferred, not required)Demands positive responsiveness to customer requirements, priorities and mission accomplishment.Strong problem solving skills needed.Ability to plan and organize projects.Customer service skills are a must.Must be possess and maintaining a Secret Security Clearance.Must be able to achieve Security+ CE Certification (or equivalent) within 90 days of hire for positions requiring elevated privileges and ITIL V3 Foundation within six months of hire.Additional specific certifications may be required, depending on job assignment.

    Position is in Afghanistan. Candidate will work 7 days a week, 12 hours a day. Candidate will be deployed to a hazardous duty zone. Personnel are assigned for 365-days "feet-on-ground".Must be willing to travel throughout Afghanistan with any mode of transportation required.Candidates will be required to perform physical tasks in all weather conditions.Be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing physical work related to the setup and movement of mobile communication containers and other equipment as required.Must be willing to perform duties after-hours and on weekends.Must be willing to cover shift-work as required.Must be willing to be on-call.

Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

Qualifications 8-10 years of directly related experience in network analysis and design.
