Senior Principal Program Analyst
Specific Responsibilities: Will support establishment and operation of a Project Management Office for an IT systems development and upgrade project. General Responsibilities: Performs complex administrative and analytical tasks in support of a contract program. 1. Performs a variety of complex administrative and analytical tasks in support of one or more high profile contract programs. 2. Develops plans, including budgets and schedules, and monitors tasks to meet contractual/project requirements for assigned program(s). 3. Establishes and defines program plan requirements and directs or performs in-depth studies to determine optimum program plans. 4. Monitors and reports performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met. 5. Interacts regularly with high-level customers and other industry representatives to ensure conformance to customer requirements. 6. Performs business development activities. 7. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced employees, and may have supervisory responsibility. 8. Serves as a team or task leader. 9. Participates in special projects as required. Education Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience. Qualifications
- PMP certified with 10 years of IT Project Management experienceExperience using PMP principles, practices, techniques, and tools.Strong project management skills which includes experience in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale projects from vision through implementation, involving internal personnel, contractors, and external customers.Experience managing, overseeing, and prioritizing large programs within an enterprise portfolio of 30+ systems.Experience creating project spend plans and budgets and providing justifications for spending requirements.Experience evaluating project activities utilizing quality measurements and monitoring mechanisms to ensure that deliverables meet or exceed expectations and integrate with overall project effort.Experience coordinating with resource managers to acquire resources to support projects.Ability to manage the scope of the project, and ensure that scope changes are reviewed and approved properly.Ability to monitor and communicate project status to stakeholders, leadership, and project team. Ability to communicate and effectively negotiate with a high level of confidence and composure.Experienced with MS Office Suite.Expert knowledge with MS project or similar tool.
