GDIT is seeking an experienced Instructional Systems Designer to develop SCORM compliant e-learning content and ILT training materials for NATO ITM. Must have experience developing curriculum within a Learning Management System including but not limited to Torch, Accord, or Success Factors.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1.      Designs and develops instructional materials to meet training requirements for the NATO ITM project.

2.      Assist with the development of the task analysis for OTJ Training Course.

3.      Develops appropriate training objectives and test methods and designs instructionally valid training materials.

4.      Experience developing curriculum for COTS and/or GOTs software applications and hardware.

5.      Ensures integrity of task analysis, training requirements, training hierarchies, instructional materials, and evaluation plans.

6.      Experience with technical writing for manuals, learning workbooks, online content, scripts, and proposals.

7.      Designs and develops computer based training (CBTs), web-based training (WBTs), and other technology-based learning solutions using the following tools:

a.      Adobe Technical Communication Suite

b.      Adobe Captivate 9

c.      Camtasia Recorder

d.      Articulate Storyline 360

e.      Articulate Engage 360

8.      Develops flow diagrams, storyboards, and multimedia presentations.

9.      Interacts with customer and subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy of instructional content.

10.    Prepare all student materials, including training manuals, workbooks, handouts, quick reference cards, certificates and evaluation forms.

11.    Prepare all instructor materials such as course outlines, background materials, and training aids.

12.    Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

13.    Participates in special projects as required.

14.    Conducts ILT training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities.

15.    Advanced knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in training.

c.      Kirkpatrick Model for training evaluation.

 

Education Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related discipline.

 

Master's degree preferred

Qualifications 8-10 years of related instructional development experience.

 

PREFERRED SKILLS

1.      Experience developing curriculum for the following software tools:

a.      BMC (Remedy) including but not limited to ITSM, Service Desk, and MyIT.

b.      Splunk

c.      Solar Winds

d.      Network Management Tools

2.      Experience developing curriculum for WAN, LAN, System Nodes, Servers, Network Hardware, etc...
