The Engineer directly supports the Director of Logistics, CJ-4, and is responsible for assisting with facility master planning, military engineer operations, and civil humanitarian construction projects with coalition forces, government agencies, and humanitarian organizations. Assists CJ-4 or other military personnel with conducting quality control and assurance assessments. Has knowledge and experience in developing statements of work, cost estimation, and contracting regulations. Has knowledge in real estate acquisition processes, environmental health safety principles, and project management. Has knowledge of military engineer equipment, units, and capabilities. Coordinates with technical experts for engineering design and analysis support. Assists in the accomplishment of campaign plan specific goals as specified by the COR. Education GDIT Requirement: Masters Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline. Contract Requirement: BS/BA Degree
- Citizen of the United StatesPossess a military background in the S. Army, Air Force, or Navy engineering field having achieved the grade of CW3, O3 or above.Possess a current state-accredited Professional Engineer (PE) license through the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES).
- Competent computer skills including MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word) and Internet Explorer.Ability to respond rapidly and sufficiently to changing requirements, unexpected contingencies and other challenging situations.Ability to manage available resources in time sensitive situationsFluent in English.Willing to work a 12-hour shift per day.Working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable, with long hours, exposure to weather, dust and hazardous harsh conditions.Able to don all required personal protective gear and physically execute assigned duties.
