Meet entry-level requirements and candidate must:
- Meet Target-level requirements and satisfactory performance.
- Possess eighteen (18) months experience working in a group program with children and/or youth.
- Posses and maintain one of the following: Child Development Associate (CDA), Army School Age Credential (including Boys and Girls of America) or Army Practicum.
- Possess twelve (12) months experience working in a group program with children and/or youth.
- Possess AA degree with major emphasis in childcare.
- Possess BA/BS degree with a major emphasis on ECE, Elementary Education, Child Development, Home Economics, Special Education or related behavioral sciences.
Work schedule: 0530-1830 Monday through Friday. May include late evening and/or weekend hours. Subject to change based on business requirements and mission. Occasionally open on weekends.
Conditions of employment:
1. A one-year probationary period may be required.
2. Meet all qualification/eligibility requirements.
3. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification check.
4. Successfully complete all required background checks to include a health screening.
5. A completed and signed copy DA Form 3433-1 and DA Form 3433-2 (for CYSS positions only) is required prior to entrance on duty.
All required background checks of AR 215-3, must be successfully completed and maintained including Child and Youth National Agency Check with Inquiries (CNACI); to include a health assessment is required. Successful completion of prescribed training (transition and/or annual) is required.
Immunizations may be required as a condition of employment for the health and safety of those in the facility as determined by medical authority. Already immune individuals (based on documented receipt of vaccine series or physician diagnosed illness), or those subject to religious exemption, or medical contraindication are exempt from this requirement.
