The MIL Corporation seeks a Network Administrator to support a Federal Government client at one of our Washington, DC locations. The Network Administrator will provide hands on technical support and managerial direction for the global network infrastructure.

• Perform troubleshooting
• Install and configure network devices and management tools
• Install and configure additional hardware as required
• Support our client in resolving network issues
• Proactively identify, analyze, troubleshoot and diagnose issues on customer's network, with the goal of continuous improvement of service delivery
• Document issues and resolution for future reference in the Knowledge Base

Required Qualifications
• 1 to 3 years of Network Engineer experience
• Fluent with NAC, Layer 2 switching, EIGRP and static routing
• Experience with the setup and maintenance of VPN tunnels, vLAN configurations, creating and managing SSL tunnels, IPV6 and IP v4 (including complex sub-netting) and network security (Cisco ASA Firewalls, ACLs, IPsec, and other encryption methodologies)
• Excellent hands-on experience with the following networking infrastructure:
o Enterprise class Cisco routers and switches
o IPv6 migration
o Internet and Wide Area Networks
o Network systems management and monitoring tools
o VPN's and other remote access applications
o Knowledge of Switches, Routers, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, QoS
• Team player with positive mental attitude
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to handle impromptu analysis and discussions with client, and provide technology strategies/solutions based on industry best practices
• Familiarity with many of the platforms commonly engineered and installed
• Position may require working nights and/or weekends for on-call troubleshooting and completing project tasks
• Position may also involve occasional travel
• CCNA certification

Technical Skills
• A creative problem solver with expertise in identifying and resolving complex routing issues involving a mix of Cisco and Sonicwall managed devices
• Advanced troubleshooting skills are required, including the ability to capture and analyze packet level data (i.e. Wireshark PCAPS) and must be an expert with network monitoring tools such as the latest version of SolarWinds Orion NPM, APM, NCM, and Netflow
• Detail-oriented technical skills and strong analytical skills (including log analysis), flexibility and the ability to think creatively while meeting/using industry best practices

Desired Qualifications
• Cloud experience
• Working towards CCNP, CCNP Security or CCDP certifications
