Apply logistics knowledge and experience in managing, developing and implementing lifecycle and logistics acquisition product support strategies associated with Armament Systems and associated support equipment.

Essential Job Functions:

Exercise knowledge and experience in determining, through a considered analysis, the best blend of public and private resources and the partnering relationship between those entities to achieve an effective product support strategy that delivers Warfighter operational readiness.

Perform supportability analyses; determining manpower requirements; evaluating human/system interfaces; influencing system design to optimize life cycle sustainment strategy; determining supply support; interpreting facility requirements; determining packaging requirements to meet transportation/handling demands; identifying peculiar and common support equipment needs; evaluating technical data acquisition strategy to support lifecycle sustainment needs and; providing FMS case management support.

Provide knowledge and experience in life cycle support systems and sustaining engineering process to impact the design from its inception throughout the life cycle.

Facilitate supportability to maximize the availability, effectiveness and capability of the system at the lowest total ownership cost (TOC).

Provide an understanding of the Integrated Defense Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics Life Cycle Management System to include logistics actions needed to move through the life cycle phases as well as knowledge and experience developing life cycle logistics documents such as the Life Cycle Sustainment Plan.

Responsible for understanding of current Air Force Lead Command organization and functions and the impact that life cycle sustainment decisions may have on the end user as well as knowledge of the DoD budgeting process and experience developing funding requirements for system sustainment throughout its life cycle.

Ability to provide knowledge and experience in annual resource allocation forecasting processes wherein assessments are gathered and recorded to support future test requirements.

Assists in the acquisition of weapons, weapon systems, armament systems and associated support equipment by applying experience and broad spectrum of knowledge of logistics.

Knowledgeable in areas and possess experience include but are not limited to performing supportability analyses, determining manpower requirements, evaluating human/system interfaces, influencing system design to optimize life cycle sustainment strategy, determining supply support, interpreting facility requirements, determining packaging requirements to meet transportation/handling demands, identifying peculiar and common support equipment needs and evaluating technical data acquisition strategy to support life cycle sustainment needs.

Bachelor's degree plus eight (8) years of experience.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications.

Active Secret Clearance.

Required Travel: Continental United States (CONUS) and possibly Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS).
