Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service (LIRS) is seeking a Program Coordinator for Stabilization who will review and analyze program policies and inquiries and monitor affiliate programs and progress in compliance with the Bureau of Population, Migration, and Refugees (PRM), the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), and LIRS standards to ensure provision of timely and quality services to refugees and migrants. S/he will provide and coordinate programmatic support that promote self-sufficiency and community integration with focuses on program leadership and management, affiliate relationships, social engagement practices, and knowledge management.
Provide technical assistance and program support to LIRS’ affiliates and serve as the affiliate’s first point of contact on programmatic issues.
Maintain regular contact with affiliates, including the affiliate staff.
Extensively plan, coordinate and conduct affiliate site monitoring visits that involve: meeting with various stakeholders; reviewing program files; interviewing affiliate staff, refugee families, and community leaders; and reviewing programmatic reports, proposals, financial reports, and statistical information. Write site visit reports and recommendations and action plans related to issues of service delivery, documentation and/or reporting.
Work closely with affiliates to assist with and review responses to PRM and ORR’s monitoring findings and recommendations to ensure accuracy and compliance with program requirement and deadlines, as needed to support the Stabilization unit.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in social work, social sciences, non-profit management or related field; and a minimum of three (3) years of related experience or appropriate combination of education and experience.
Experience in interpreting contract compliance and cooperative agreements; delivering training and providing technical assistance to service providers and staff.
Ability to write/edit reports and clearly interpret technical requirements.
Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to details.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, knowledge in database management and other computer applications.
Deep commitment to LIRS’ core values and ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners.
Experience with and commitment to working in a very diverse workforce.
Ability and willingness to travel 30-35% of time.
