The successful candidate will provide hands-on solution design and consulting expertise for multiple programming languages and system environments, while collaborating with other team members, project sponsors, development groups, and government personnel to devise practical solutions to problems. We are seeking an experienced professional to cultivate relationships with business stakeholders, maintain in-depth knowledge of strategic business plans, and support development and maintenance of current and future state business architecture.Responsibilities:Provide technical direction to Enterprise Architects, Business Architects and Solution Architects.Initiate and deliver architectural programs that align IT with business strategy.Communicate architectural decisions, plans, goals and strategies.Develop and deliver executive level briefingsCollaborate across a diverse team environment consisting of project sponsors, government personnel, and other contractors.Support R&D initiate and deliver technology evaluations and recommendations.Provide expertise in IT industry best practices, technologies, architectures and emerging technologies. Qualifications:15+ years experience with hands-on software development, software design / architecture, data architecture, distributed applications, and/or cloud solution architecture.Bachelors Degree in IT-related field, masters degree preferred, or equivalent work experience. ABET accredited institutions and programs preferred.Experience with infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking in support of mission-critical systems.Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.Excellent communication skills and demonstrable ability to bridge business and technology perspectives.Prior consulting experience and government contracting experience strongly preferred.Experience with Agile methodologies and with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).Knowledge and experience across a variety of technologies, such as:Principles of object-oriented software design and programming;REST web services and emerging web standards;OSI Stack Model technologies such as HTTP, DNS, DHCP, TCP, etc.;Windows and Linux operating systems;Relational database design, eg, SQL and MySQL;Amazon Web Services EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, VPC, IAM, Route53, S3;DevOps tooling such as Chef and Jenkins;Microservice architectures.
