Tracking Code 536-683 Job Description PURPOSE:To provide on campus marketing support and presence for the college recruiting effort by representing Woodmark to students and organizations on campus so as to market our brand on campus; assist Corporate Human Resources with the Career Orientation and Development (COD) program by helping to establish campus relationships with targeted universities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Distribute Woodmark and COD information in various formats and at various venues on campus.Provide program presentations to clubs and in classrooms, discussing Woodmark brand, culture, lifestyle, COD program, job opportunities.Doing "call outs" during semesters before career fairs, or at least 3 or 4 times per semester, whereby you seek to be at different campus events or locations to talk with students one on one and you will need to have materials such as food, handouts, banners, power point presentations, Woodmark Swag, videos, and have a goal to reach at least 20 - 30 students at each "call out" and seek to get their resumes sent to corporate HR.Doing swag attacks on campus to hand out branded items to students; walking around handing out Woodmark Swag and your business card with Woodmark update on upcoming fairs and job opportunities.Doing spontaneous events for meet and greets on campus; setting up a table to hand out snack items and handouts about upcoming events. Whenever there's something big happening find a spot and seek to make some contacts with students, club or organization leaders or classroom professors.Doing Woodmark Wednesday's where you meet with people who have contacted you personally and seek to meet at a restaurant for a casual meeting; provide some refreshments, be social, discuss the Woodmark brand and opportunities, get more resumes from friends that your contacts may have brought to the meeting.Help to identify candidates for entry level career tracks based on graduation dates; so as to know how to steer them to proper career fairs or corporate HR.Participate in Career Fairs at targeted universities be present when we're on campus to help us get situated and settled; help us to have social gatherings before the career fair so we can boost interest at the career fair.Work with universities and Corporate HR to develop and implement college branding strategies to help Woodmark achieve required annual recruitment levels for the COD Program.Coordinate with corporate HR support the on campus branding process and its components to ensure adherence to all corporate and program requirements.Develop and maintain relationships with targeted universities that further American Woodmark's reputation and interests on campus. This includes identifying potential joint projects, arranging for American Woodmark speakers on campus, identifying campus organizations to speak at or support.Maintain necessary files/spreadsheets covering meetings planned, resumes received, numbers attended, Swag inventories, program supplies inventories, and regular communications with corporate HR - Manufacturing Recruiting Manager.Attend ambassador training for the on campus brand program that is provided by corporate HR.Provide assistance and coordination to our recruiting team when they are on campus by acting as a host for the team to show them around, recommend hotels, restaurants, introduce them to campus organization leaders or professors, etc.Support Manufacturing Recruiting Manager as needed on projects to improve the Campus Brand Leader program and process.Role model CITE (Customer satisfaction, Integrity, Teamwork, Excellence) and Working-in-teams principles. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:This position will not have any supervisory responsibilities QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required. Education, Experience and SkillsCurrent undergraduate student of good standing in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field that supports the COD program;1 to 2 years of current college education that is in process and campus involvement, club or organizational leadership experience preferred;Excellent managerial skills, including good organizational and time management skills;Thorough knowledge of equal employment opportunity laws, ADA, and other government compliance regulations that affect job recruitment;Excellent presentation and general communications and writing skills;Experience in developing, coordinating and administering communications or leadership programs; andExcellent personal computer skills in a networked environment, Microsoft products and Social networking experience preferred. Language Skills:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to listen and communicate effectively with customers/clients in an effort to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers/clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community and public. Ability to develop presentations to be delivered to public/employee groups. Mathematical Skills:Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret graphs and diagrams. Reasoning Ability:Ability to solve practical problems, and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral , diagram, or schedule form. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this job, the brand ambassador is regularly required to stand, walk, talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. WORKING ENVIRONMENT:Campus environment. The noise level is usually low or moderate. No out of town travel required. Occasional evening or weekend work.
