We are currently searching for an HVAC Installation Technician to join our team in our Prince Frederick location. Provide as necessary, installation team leadership, by interpreting proposal specifications and directing the efforts of other members of the installation team.Using a company provided service vehicle drive from departure point to installation locations as dispatched from a central location.Upon review of the installation job ticket load installation vehicle with required equipment and tools so that jobs can be accomplished in efficient and professional manner.When confronted with customer, technical or delivery issues in the course of performing installation work make sound decisions including the notification of other departments as appropriate.Diagnose problems which may be equipment part failure, electrical or plumbing in nature and repair problems and effectively communicate actions and services rendered to the customer.Using specialized air conditioning equipment and tools, remove and capture system refrigerants in accordance with applicable regulations, read and interpret manifold pressure gauges and temperature gauges, and charge air conditioning and heat pump systems using CFCs and HCFCs.Using company owned cellular phone, call dispatch with time in, time out, parts used, if any, and burner efficiency readings.Provide hand tools as defined in Department Practice InstructionsUsing hydraulic lifts or mechanical devices and wheeled carts with assistance of another employee, remove from truck, move to customer location, and install parts which may include boilers, furnace units and/or oil tanks. Boilers will weigh up to 1000 lb. and a 275 gallon oil tank empty will weigh in excess of 200 lbs.Using a ladder, safely climb to heights up to 30' to replace roof caps, chimneys and service commercial heating and cooling equipment.Visually inspect assigned vehicle for safety considerations, ie, tires, lights, brakes, oil and other fluid levels, etc. and confirm the absence of fluid leaks on a daily basis.Work with substances used in the petroleum and refrigeration industries (ie, fuel oil, fuel oil additives, cleaners, freon, etc.)CFC license required; MD Journeyman a plusHave flexibility to work on Saturday and Sunday, as neededHave a clean and safe driving recordMust be able to clear all pre-employment testing and checks: drivers license, background, drug and human performance evaluation
