Job Description:
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Transplant Coordinator to work with our Renal Transplant team.

Hospital Summary:
As the region's first Magnet hospital, Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, a 525-bed tertiary care facility, is home to the area's only Level I Trauma Center, burn trauma unit and nationally ranked heart program at Sentara Heart Hospital. In addition to a first-rate heart program, the hospital is home to Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance and several dedicated facilities and specialized services including a nationally ranked ENT program supported by the skilled physicians at EVMS Medical Group.

Position Details:
This position will work Monday - Friday between operating hours 8am to 5pm. Position works directly with transplant patients and families. If you are seeking a promotional opportunity, this is the position for you.

Coordinates the clinical management of the transplant/VAD patient including the transplant/VAD evaluation, the transplant/VAD process and follow-up care. Provides clinical leadership to care team members, allowing staff to plan, direct, manage outcomes and evaluate care.

Education Level
Bachelor's Level Degree - NURSING

Experience
Required: Related - 3 years

Required: Basic Life Support, Cert Clinical Transplant Coord, Registered Nurse
