The MIL Corporation seeks a System Administrator to support a Federal Government client at one of our Washington, DC locations. The System Administrator will be responsible for daily system monitoring and providing Tier II end user support.

• Perform daily system monitoring, verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, and review system and application logs
• Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are backed up to tape
• Responsible for providing Tier II end user support for operating systems, workstations, printers, scanners, and customer supported applications
• Maintain up-to-date status in ticketing system
• Troubleshoot and quickly resolve sever issues to ensure minimum disruption to customers
• Ensure compliance with approved IT policies
• Document configuration changes
• Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
• Provide a daily handoff/status report to the incoming shift

Required Qualifications
• Associate's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
• 3+ years of experience in computer systems/applications installation and support -OR- relevant combination of education and experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Proficiency in administration and support of computer hardware, network, servers, routers, switches, desktops, security, backups, and email
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Team player with positive mental attitude
• Flexible work schedule to include some weekend and evening work as required
• This position is for the After Hours team, work hours are Sunday-Friday 4pm-12am while training, and will later transition to the night shift
• Computer systems certifications (e.g. MCSE, CCNA, etc.)

Technical Skills
• Extensive knowledge of MS Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, TCP/IP, Group Policy, MS Windows Server OS, SCCM, Scripting, VMware/virtualization, Enterprise Antivirus & Data Backup management, NetApp SAN, MS Exchange, MS Windows 8/10, Cisco Any Connect, Office 365, Intune
• Expertise in troubleshooting server problems with a focus on rapid resolution of any system outage
• Experience with iOS mobile devices and tablets

Desired Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or an equivalent amount of experience
• MCITP-EA, MCITP-SA, CCNA, CCNP Certifications
• Familiarity with network monitoring and reporting tools (i.e. Solarwinds/SCCM/SCOM)
• Ability to handle impromptu analysis and discussion with client and provide technology strategies/solutions based on industry best practices

Associate's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
