This position is in a 24-hours a day, 365 days a year operation. Shift employees earn a 10% shift differential on top of base pay for evening and night work; 25% premium pay for working Sunday; and holiday pay (a 100% premium). This position is M-F, 11:00pm to 7:30am.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (MQS):

To be rated qualified for this job, an applicant must meet all of the MQs listed below at the time of vacancy announcement closure. 

1.    A high school diploma or a Certificate of General Educational Development (GED), or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.

 

2.    Three years of progressively responsible experience (post high school) in the operation of general equipment. Two of these years should include the operation of motorized construction equipment that includes substantive work in most of the DUTIES in this job description.

 

3.    Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B, within 90 days of hire, promotion, or placement into the position.

 

4.    A valid state driver’s license in good standing.
  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

The qualifications listed below (if any) are preferred and may be considered in the selection process, but are not required to be rated qualified for this job.

1.      Possession of a Class B CDL.

 

HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED:
