PBS Contracting, Inc., a commercial general contractor in the Northern Virginia market, is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, team player to assist both the financial officer and the lead estimator in an office where no two days are quite the same. Experience working in a fast paced office environment, basic accounting skills, and/or construction background would be preferred.
* Excellent communication skills. Both verbally and written. Among staff, clients, vendors and subcontractors good communication is of the utmost importance.
* Strong team player. In an office where the day to day tasks vary, it is important for all levels of our team to work well together to achieve the high level of production we strive for.
* Strong organizational skills. The ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments.
* Maintain confidentiality, professionalism and a positive attitude. Excellent attention to detail and willingness to take initiative.
* Highly proficient in Microsoft Office. Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Drop Box and MS Project would be beneficial.
* Basic accounting skills and ability to understand construction terms and concepts. Construction experience is not required, but is helpful.
