Senior Manager, Training and Evaluation
The American Society of Hematology (ASH), a Washington, DC-based association of physicians and scientists committed to promoting blood disease research and education, seeks an experienced, results-driven Senior Manager, Training & Evaluation – a business leadership role that is responsible for developing, managing, and evaluating ASH’s professional development programs designed to promote and enhance the careers of trainees and junior faculty in hematology in North America and around the globe. The Senior Manager develops and fosters community building among trainees and experts in the field through the use of social networking technologies and other mediums. The Senior Manager, Training & Evaluation will also supervise the Training Specialist, providing coaching, mentorship, and supporting professional development.
Qualified candidates will have an advanced degree in instructional design, instructional technology, program evaluation, statistics or a related field and at least seven years of experience designing and developing highly interactive instructor-led and blended learning courses and designing and implementing program evaluation systems. This position requires broad business acumen including project management and excellent organizational skills; and ability to develop and implement comprehensive strategies. Advanced knowledge of program evaluation principles and practices, including survey development and administration, and qualitative and quantitative research methods and analysis are also required. Ability to efficiently manage time and meet deadlines and effectively navigate multiple priorities simultaneously; strong attention to detail; capacity to remain flexible in attitude and work style; excellent communication skills (oral and written); and ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress situations are essential. Ability to supervise, mentor, and coach experienced staff and to deliver excellent results through outsourced business partners are also required.
