Position Summary Designs, architects, and implements data warehouse ETL solutions for BHI data systems. Works with business teams, BI Team, DBAs, ETL developers, and report developers to deliver comprehensive ETL processes across products and solutions. Develop, test and package ETL processes using standard SQL and other enterprise ETL tools. This position will be closely involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle as part of a team of software developers. This individual will primarily support BHI projects by developing and executing ETL tasks, implementing data quality analysis, data migration, and data cleansing. This position will work closely with the BHI Consultants and Business Analysts acquiring clear business requirements, outlining and designing robust solutions, and developing code that is high quality, error free and on time meeting milestones as defined and agreed upon. Responsibilities: Translate business and functional requirements to technical specifications in the context of BHI's claims data warehouse, and implement efficient and repeatable technical solutions using highly optimized and standards-compliant SQL queries and Linux shell scriptsUnderstand and evaluate existing SQL scripts and Data ModelsDesign and develop queries and data models for a high performance projects and deliverables.Develop, manage and maintain data dictionaries, metadata, and process flow documentation.Design, develop and implement complete solutions throughout the project/product life cycles.Maintain and manage revisions of code in production, testing and development environments.Work with project teams to refine business requirements that produce well-designed and developed solutions.Follow Company and industry defined best practices to ensure smooth and continuous product development operations.Develop process improvements that ensure product quality and productivity.Maintain product requirements, technical and functional documentations for release management.Working with development project teams and business data stewards to research and identify quality issuesUsing data quality tools to profile source data, define and validate metadata, and verify staged dataImplements test strategies and procedures established by team, which includes peer review, unit testing, functional testing, and user acceptance testing.Must demonstrate clear and professional communication style, verbal and writtenMust possess keen decision-making and analytical abilitiesMust have ability to prioritize tasksMust possess a highly developed sense of integrityMust be committed to customer and project team success and continuous improvementMust be self-motivated, thorough, and reliable, and possess above-average attention to detail and organizational skillMust have desire to learn new technologies and business conceptsMust have ability to work in a structured environment as well as performing in high-pressure ad hoc mode to address urgent needsMust be able to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively.
