Provides configuration management support to assigned projects.

  

 1. Assists in analyzing engineering change proposals to determine the effect on the overall system.

 2. Ensures configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations.

 3. Performs various audits and documents results.

 4. Monitors subcontractors and vendors to ensure that the applications of customer standards and requirements for the statement of work are properly implemented.

 5. Prepares configuration and data management documentation based on program requirements.

 6. Participates in design reviews, audits, scheduling, budgeting, etc.

 7. Assists in the development and implementation of computer based configuration/data management systems and related support.

 8. Participates in special projects as required.

 

Duties:

- Shall conduct and perform configuration and service asset management.

This task includes tracking and reporting all hardware and software assets that support 690 COG operations in the CMDB.  The CMDB shall contain product descriptive information and nomenclature, license, warranty and lifecycle management information, avenues for product support, weapon system categorization, specified baseline configurations, as well as current configuration attributes.

- shall develop and maintain a Government-approved Service Map that correlates hardware, software and configuration attributes to mission capabilities for 690 COG controlled assets and devices.

This task includes developing a service map framework to capture the interdependencies between configuration attributes and mission capabilities, and establishing and maintaining the Service Map.

- Shall populate and maintain a 690 COG configuration baseline.

This task includes maintaining baseline accuracy by tracking changes and conducting annual audits and verification of configurations.  Working with PMOs to obtain baseline information for CSCS weapons system and infrastructure delivered by the PMOs.  Ensure non-PMO configuration items, assets and devices are baselined and tracked.

 

 

Education Bachelors Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience.

Qualifications 0-2 years of related configuration management experience.

 

Requirements:

- Current 8570 IAM II Level Certification or higher (CAP, CASP CE, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), CSSLP

- ITIL v3 Foundation for Service Management

- ITIL v3 Service Lifecycle: Service Transition

- ITIL v3 Service Capability: Release, Control and Validation
