The Skype for Business Technician will report directly to the Project Lead. We offer an attractive benefits package including a competitive salary.Top 3 Outcomes in Year 1On-time or early completion of tasks and deliverable submissions Build new and strengthen existing stakeholder relationships Identify key issues for the client and propose innovative solutionsEssential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPlan, configure, deploy, and implement Skype for Business Lync/Skype for Business chat, media, voice and video capabilitiesCoordinate and collaborate with business application stakeholders and infrastructure teams to ensure successful deployment integration, and implementationMake recommendations for training documentation; produce and maintain approved documentationConduct analysis to capability gaps and deficienciesIdentify training approach to address capability gaps and deficiencies. Provide informal training to assist end users in understanding how Skype for Business can be applied to enhance operationsPlan, document, coordinate, and implement technical training activitiesProvide Tier I level technical support to end-users and serve as subject matter expert to resolve a variety of Skype for Business issuesOther duties as assignedRequired Qualifications5+ years of IT deployment and implementation experience with at least 2 years experience specific to collaborative technologyExperience deploying and configuring Lync/Skype for Business audio, video and telephony solutions as well as integration with Exchange/Office 365 Unified MessagingSolid overall Microsoft skills (Active Directory, Exchange UM integration, etc.)Experience integrating Skype for Business with other unified communications systems (chat, media, video, voice)Excellent written, organizational, and verbal communication skills as well as collaboration skills. Able to convey technical concepts to individuals without prior technical knowledge or understanding of topics.Able to coordinate and collaborate with business application stakeholders and infrastructure teams to ensure successful upgrades, installations or integration activitiesStrong analytical skills; able to assess and solve issues in a high-pressure environment
