Assoc Administrator, Network/HBSS
1. Participates in the analysis, administration and maintenance of voice, video, and/or data communications networks. 2. Assists in managing the usage and performance of voice, video and/or data communications networks. 3. Maintains network security and ensures compliance with security policies and procedures. 4. Evaluates hardware and software, including peripheral, output, and related equipment. 5. Participates in network installations and upgrades. 6. Interfaces with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance. 7. Provides advice and training to end-users. 8. Troubleshoots and resolves moderately complex problems. 9. Develops current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. 10. Participates in special projects as required. Duties:HBSS System Engineer, this role will provide administrative and analyst support to HBSS Tier 1 at 33rd NWS located on Lackland AFB, Texas. Highlights of Responsibilities • Provide administrative and analyst support to the 33 NWS on the HBSS suite of tools. • Policy development. • Policy distribution and management. • Event Management - Monitor, detect, analyze, respond • Report Management - New vulnerabilities, faulty policies, coordination with Tier 2 & 3 • Detection of new and rogue clients on AF networks • Maintain logs. HBSS IA / Security Specialist, this role will provide Information Assurance and integration support on the HBSS (Host-Based Security Solution) tool suite at the 83 NOS at Langley AFB, VA. - Provide system analysis, troubleshooting and integration support for HBSS on the Air Force Network. Provide support to policy development and management. Ensure policies are tested and disseminated. Provide engineering artifacts for C&A efforts as required.
- 3-5 years of IT-related IA/security experience desired DoD 8570 Security certification ( Security+ CE at a minimum) required Active Secret security clearance. Experience with HBSS suite of McAfee tools or similar host-based security solutions.
