Lead Technician, Systems
Provides installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support of network devices, information systems applications and related peripheral hardware. 1. Monitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques. 2. Installs and configures network devices (such as routers, firewalls, switches, VOIP, and TACLANEs). 3. Provides software and system troubleshooting and support. 4. Provides technical support and training to end-users. 5. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced technicians, and may have limited supervisory responsibilities. 6. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned. 7. Participates in special projects as required. Education Associates Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience. Qualifications 1. Secret Security Clearance required.2. 5-8 years of directly related experience supporting information systems operations.3. Associate degree4. DoD 8570-01-M certified at the AIT-II level SKILLS and ABILITIES: 1. Comprehenive knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques used in information system troubleshooting and support.2. COmprehensive knowledge of related hardware and software.3. Stroing knowledge of networking fundamentals.4. Ability to configure network devices using the Cisco IOS CLI.5. Ability to implement and document DISA STIGs on assigned systems.6. Ability to mitigate known vulnerabilities according to ACAS scans and DISA IAVM notices on assigned systems.
