Supervises employees engaged in providing network and system operation, administration, and support. 1. Supervises the day-to-day operations of a network support center or help desk. 2. Supervises assigned staff in support of an organization's networked and stand-alone computer users and systems. 3. Directs staff in recognizing, identifying, isolating, and resolving problems with information systems products and services. 4. Participates in the planning and implementing of software and/or systems upgrades and modifications. 5. Supervises installation, testing, and setup of new hardware and software. 6. Recommends new hardware and software as needed. 7. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned. 8. Participates in special projects as required. Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience. Qualifications 1. Secret Security clearance.2. 5-8 years of directly related experience supporting network operations.3. DoD 8570.01-M certified at the IAT-II level.4. Bachelors Degree SKILLS and ABILITIES: 1. Advanced knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network and system administration and support.2. Effective supervisory skills3. May require professional certification in one ore more specific technologies, depending on job assignment.4. Ability to implement and document DISA STIGs on assigned systems.5. Ability to mitigate known vulnerabilities according to ACAS scans and DISA IAVM notices on assigned systems.6. Ability to install and configure some or all of the following systems: HBSS, ACAS, Active Directory, Exchange, IIS.7. Ability to install and configure some or all of the following Army Mission Command systems: DDS, CPOF, AFATDS, AMDWS.
