With minimal supervision, the Systems Administrator – Senior works as part of a large enterprise team to provide implementation, configuration, and maintenance for Windows 2008 R2 and 2012 R2, Active Directory, on multiple Department of Defense (DoD) networks and enclaves, to include NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and SOCRATES. Creates, implements, and maintains Group Policy Objects (GPO). Restores Active Directory services, maintains multiple domains and forests across the USSOCOM and component domains, to include AF Special Operations Command (AFSOC). Maintains Sites and Services, Group Policy (GPOs), Certificate Services (CA or PKI), Distributed File, Services (DFS), Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), Windows 2012 Domain Controllers, PowerShell and Domain Name Servers (DNS)Works with Information Assurance and Security professionals to ensure server compliance with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), FRAGOs, MTO’s and other tasking orders. Provides technical support and troubleshooting, performs installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of Data Center servers and related software. Delivers technical support to the USSOCOM and its Enterprise components, as well as the local AFSOC customer, over the phone or on site, as required. Additionally, must be able to implement system management tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP) outlined by SOCOM, and as needed, support ancillary Data Center Services. Reads, understands and applies complex technical information; master new computer technology; maintain cooperative working relationships. Interacts with other Tier 1, 2 and/or 3 teams or contractors to restore service and/or identify core problems. Clearly communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner to end users and customers. Participates in new application and hardware rollouts, testing, and special projects as needed. Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature. Provides additional systems administrative support as required in additional areas such as databases, file servers, print servers, network access, mobile devices, application and web servers, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Exchange, Archives/Backups, virtualization, Information Security, virus protection, storage solutions, and COOP. Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience. Qualifications 5-8 years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis. At least 6 years of advanced Active Directory experience to include database maintenance, replication and domain controller support in a distributed large enterprise in an enterprise environment required6-8 years in at least three of the following areas: databases, file servers, print servers, network access, mobile devices, application and web servers, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Exchange, Archives/Backups, virtualization, Information Security, virus protection, storage solutions, and COOP6-8 years configuration, troubleshooting, and maintaining Microsoft Windows Server operating systems, to include 2008 R2 and 20012 R2Ability to support 24x7x365 work schedule, shift work and travel as required, in support of customer initiativesExperience using REMEDY to provide IT support to customers and end-usersKnowledge of TCP/IP, networking fundamentalsExposure to DoD Configuration Management, Information Assurance, and Systems Lifecycle Management processesSelf-starter, motivated, shows initiative, and learns fastAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to create and maintain sustainment documentationCreating and updating systems lifecycle documentation, as requiredMust maintain DoD 8570 compliance.
