Systems Engineer (LVC) Secret Clearance Ramstein AFB, Germany Analyzes and designs military simulations. Performs one or more of the following or related activities: 1) Analyzes unit training requirements and designs computer simulation exercises to accomplish them. 2) Analyzes unit performance during computer simulation exercises. 3) Tests and evaluates computer simulation databases and ensures that simulations are accurately portraying military operations. 4) Coordinate technical planning and engineering, and provide realistic simulation support for training exercises and mission rehearsals within USEUCOM and USAFRICACOM. Specific tasks may include but are not limited to the following:
Recommend the purchase and operation of simulation related software, communications, computer and technical facility modifications required for LVC integration in USAFE-AFRICA Promote the interchange of information on exercise requirements, capabilities, deficiencies and technology applications for the program Analyze problems discovered in prior exercises and advise higher levels of management on the feasibility of different approaches for better planning of operations Participate in exercise planning and development relating to LVC in the USAFE and AFAFRICA theaters Tests and evaluates computer simulation databases Supervises computer simulation operations to ensure computer and communications systems are accurately portraying military operations Works to simulate wartime intelligence stresses and interactions as accurately as possible to maximize training value and performance Implement and document LVC capabilities in order to improve WPC projects and plans Successfully integrate existing theater LVC capabilities with emerging technologies and approaches, enhancing the fidelity and availability of theater LVC environments Successfully link WPC capabilities with theater Joint and Coalition LVC capabilities to support realistic warfighter training#Dpost #CJpost#ZPost
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience. TESA requirements - this is a Level III engineer position: Requirements Level I: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information management or related discipline plus 3 years recent specialized experience; or Associates Degree in computer science, engineering, information management or related discipline plus 7 years recent specialized experience, or Major IT Certification plus 7 years recent specialized experience, or 11 years recent specialized experience. IA Management Level II certification (SEI 264). Must have demonstrated practical experience in the area(s) of expertise required in the Task Order, Performance Work Statement. Level II = Level I with 3 additional years experience Level III = Level I with 5 additional years experience
