Develops and applies quality standards in accordance with company and customer requirements. Develops and conducts related tests.

 Establishes and administers Quality Assurance standards and policies developing controls where necessary


Populates missing information and data.


Validates reports and analyses.


Participates in the development and application of quality standards in accordance with company and customer requirements.

 Designs and implements methods and procedures for testing and inspecting the quality level of products and equipment.

 Recommends corrective action for procedural, product, or process deficiencies.

 Interfaces with customers, vendors, and various company departments to resolve quality problems and provide information.


Provide quality assurance (QA) of geo-technical data and data management processes. Regular duties include the comparison and research of paper and/or digital records; identify, locate and obtain missing documents and data; verify and correct existing data; populate missing information/data and validate reports and analysis.


Responsible for establishing and administering QA standards and policies including development and testing of quality control (QC) procedures that provided function to both internal and external stakeholders.


Independently research and review proprietary and non-proprietary technical information and data received in the Technical Data Management (TDM) and verify that the identification, classification and indexing of information in the corporate databases is complete and correct. Identify classification and indexing information errors with well data in the corporate databases and edit, revise and correct the erroneous data.


Perform a high level of QC checks for both incoming current data and historical data, ensuring the procured regulatory data match the prescribed deliverable items of the BSEE and BOEM regulations. If the incoming current data fails the QC checks, contact the submitting company, advise them of the data deficiencies, and provide guidance to ensure compliance with reporting guidelines.


Research and resolve technical data problems submitted by BSEE and BOEM users, data vendors and the public and document recommended corrections/additions via the Intranet based Data Problem Report Form (DPRF). Work closely with TDM technicians and regulatory personnel to identify and request additional key data to address the most difficult and complex problems. Use the DPRF to record and track all activities related to basic well data, spatial data, production data, measurement data, well test, core data, pressure surveys, directional surveys, well logs, velocity surveys, seismic data, geochemical reports, Pressure-volume-temperature (PVT) data and Paleo data.



Education Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Qualifications 2+ years of related quality experience.

  Desired experience: Understanding of terminologies related to oil and gas industry and geology


Experience in managing and using upstream oil and gas data and information


Experience with various software including TIMS, Excel, MySQL


Ability to work independently


Good organization, communication and documentation skills
