Sr Analyst, SATCOM Systems Support
Analyzes, administers, and maintains telecommunications systems. 1. Evaluates, analyzes, administers and maintains voice, data and wireless communications systems. 2. Coordinate with operational RPA units and Combatant Commanders (COCOMS) to determine their commercial ku-band SATCOM bandwidth requirements. 3. Act as technical POC for DISA and the satellite vendors after leases are acquired. 4. Prepares detailed specifications and flowcharts for implementation of new internal systems or modifications to vendor systems. 5. Provide performance work statement (PWS) inputs that Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) requires to acquire satellite leases 6. May Install, test, adjust and troubleshoot equipment as necessary. 7. Monitors the operations of telecommunications systems and services of vendors. 8. Manage ACC/A5I Satellite Earth Terminal (SET) Fielding and Distribution Plan. 9. Support technical interchange meetings and telecons for new SET requirements and planned modifications. 10. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. 11. Work with DISA and the satellite vendors to resolve satellite connectivity issues 12. Receive weekly and out-of-cycle requests from operational users during normal duty hours. 13. Participates in special projects as required. Education Bachelors Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience. Qualifications 5-8 years of related telecommunications experience.
