Candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have demonstrated leadership capabilities.


Fundamental Job Responsibilities of the Cyber Security SME

      Model the threats in the enterprise landscape resulting in a visualized risk map for auditMonitor enterprise vulnerability and risks to keep the network security posture up-to-date and to conduct regular continuous audits.Measure, benchmark, and set targets so as to manage the digital resilience scorecardAssess compliance by discovering errors in configuration and previously unknown access pathsPromote rapid incident response by identifying network assets that have been exposed and helping to prioritize appropriate responses


Education Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security or a related technical discipline. 

    5+ years of experience applying monitoring and compliance controls across security technologies and architectureExpert knowledge of network security design and security-related configuration managementExtensive knowledge of auditing tools such as Redseal, Nipper, Rapid7 Nexpose, Qualys or similar Extensive knowledge of Netflow, with Scrutinizer, Stealthwatch, or similar flow based security tool Experience with risk control frameworks: HIPAA, ISO 2700X, NIST, PCI DSS, SOX, etc. Extensive experience with intrusion detection, data loss prevention, and identity management Expert understanding of firewalls and network segregation for secure alcove design for PCI complianceExpert knowledge of LinuxSecurity+, CEH, or other related certification strongly preferred
