  • Protect the President, the Vice President, and other leaders; investigate threats against them; and safeguard their residences and other facilities
  • Plan and implement security designs for National Special Security Events
  • Investigate financial crimes including fraud, identity theft and computer-based attacks on banking or telecommunications infrastructure
Joining the Secret Service, Office of Investigations, Forensic Services Division will allow you to utilize your expertise in the development of acquisition strategies and plans in order to manage and maintain enterprise evidence programs and evidence systems.   • Specialized Experience:

    GS-11: You qualify for the GS-11 level (starting salary $66,510) if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level performing duties such as: analyzing and evaluating program operations; researching and formulating or developing recommendations to improve program operations and objectives; coordinating and monitoring projects associated with evidence; conducting audits, researching, collecting, analyzing, and reporting data findings and performance measurements as its related to evidence and evidence systems, and preparing written documents or correspondence; OR

    • Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related; OR
    • A combination of graduate education and experience. This will be calculated using your résumé and unofficial transcripts or a list of courses/course hours submitted with your application.
    GS-12: You qualify for the GS-12 level (starting salary $79,720) if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level performing duties such as: analyzing and evaluating program operations, researching and formulating or developing recommendations to improve program operations and objectives; coordinating and monitoring reporting data findings and performance measurements as its relates to evidence and evidence systems; developing policies, procedures, and business processes for operation programs; and preparing briefing documents or reports and making presentations.
