Database Systems Administrator

Key Role:
Maintain responsibility for systems administration activities under general direction. Assign personnel to various projects, direct their activities, and evaluate their work. Ensure the long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization. Maintain responsibility for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software. Implement operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system.

Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with using database tools, including Structured Query Language (SQL), Microsoft SQL Servers, and Oracle
-Experience with disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and data monitoring, including administering, maintaining, analyzing, and implementing policies and procedures for ensuring database security and integrity
-Ability to perform Oracle, SQL Server, SYBASE, and other DBMS database and application server administration
-Ability to perform database and software lifecycle activities to ensure the highest level of system performance and availability and compliance with business requirements
-TS/SCI clearance
-HS diploma or GED and 8 years of experience with systems administration, AA or AS degree and 6 years of experience with systems administration, BA or BS degree and 4 years of experience with systems administration, MA or MS degree and 2 years of experience with administration or PhD Degree
-DoD 8570 Compliance IAT Level II Certification

Additional Qualifications:
-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
