Job Description:Funded by the US Department of State, the Fulbright Foreign Student Program awards scholarships to students from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) for graduate study in the United States. The Communications Officer will lead communications activities in support of the Fulbright Foreign Student Program administered by AMIDEAST. The CO will be responsible for planning and developing creative content for the program's social media, alumni and program-related outreach materials as well as field guidance. Your responsibilities will include the following, Responsibilities: You will develop and strengthen the Fulbright social media presence across all Fulbright and AMIDEAST social platforms in coordination with official Fulbright and ECA network accountsDesign and implement a social media annual plan and outreach strategy to raise awareness of the Fulbright Foreign Student Program for MENACreate content for print and digital materials, social media, videos, quote graphics, interactive events, exhibits and other creative approaches as well as oversee social media event planning for website, Blogspot, Facebook, and TwitterEnsure compliance with Fulbright and Department of State communications policy and submit quarterly social media report for ECAManage virtual communication and develop and curate digital content to showcase Fulbright alumni activities on social networksDocument and showcase the Fulbright experience through Fulbright student interviews at US universities, Fulbright Enrichment and Gateway SeminarsPerform other tasks as may be required from time to timeQualifications: A BA/BS degree in a related field and a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experienceAdvanced management experience with social media networks (Facebook, Blogspot, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, Hootsuite, SlideShare, etc.)Experience in digital community management, preferably for a non-profit organization in the international education field and/or supporting international field officesProven writing and editing skills and the ability to convey ideas in a creative, clear, direct, and lively styleGraphic design, photo and video editing skills are a definite plusBenefits:Competitive salary, 40+ days of paid leave, retirement plan, tuition reimbursement.
