Responsibilities:

  • Edit research papers, federal docket submissions, crashworthiness reports, testimony and other selected documents
  • Manage the document clearance process
  • Work directly with authors on revisions
  • Format papers for submission to professional journals
  • Review publication proofs
  • Enter completed papers into content management system
  • Work with website team to post papers and other public-facing documents
  • Submit comments and petitions to the federal docket, notify appropriate staff when completed
  • Assist staff with special projects as needed

Work Experience:

  • Three years writing/editing experience in a professional writing position
  • Must also possess competency in word processing, spreadsheets, database management and graphics production software

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, publications or a technical field
