The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at George Mason University, an NCAA Division I institution and a member of the Atlantic Ten Athletic Conference, is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time, 12-month administrative professional position for a Certified Athletic Trainer. Responsibilities: This position assists in the daily operation of the Athletic Training Facilities. Team assignments are Womens Volleyball and Baseball. The incumbent will also provide supervision of residents working with other athletic teams, and the clinical instruction and supervision of athletic training students in educational programs.
Required Qualifications: * Advanced degree (M.A./M.S. or equivalent education) in a related field at the time of employment; * Demonstrated experience in intercollegiate and/or professional athletics; * NATABOC certification is required at date of employment; * Possess Virginia State Licensure or Eligible (must possess Virginia license at time of employment); * Current professional rescuer certification in CPR/AED (automated external defibrillator); * Excellent oral and written communications skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills; * Knowledge of and the ability to work with electronic medical record keeping systems and other computer databases; * Ability to work weekend and nontraditional work hours; * Must possess the ability to safely and independently move objects of approximately 75 pounds; and * Employment offer is contingent on meeting eligibility requirements for operating state-owned vehicles (http://universitypolicy.gmu.edu/policies/vehicle-use/?_ga=1.91832602.1401278467.1461868570).
