If so, read on!    Job Duties & Responsibilities   The DS&T (Data Science and Transformation) team is seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented, and process-driven ETL/BI developer who wants a challenging position to showcase their skills. Qualified candidates should possess 3+ years of professional experience as a Big Data ETL/BI developer. The selected candidate will be part of a group of report developers and Reporting Data Store (RDS) developers responsible for activities related to corporate reporting in GEICO?s Big Data environment.

Candidate Qualifications:  
  • Three years of experience in Data Warehousing, Data Marts, Dimensional Modeling
  • Three years of experience with MicroStrategy
  • Three years of experience with any ETL/ELT tools
  • Three years of experience with Data Quality and Performance optimization
  • Two years of experience in Hadoop, MapReduce, Oozie, Hive, and Pig
  • At least 1 year of programming experience in Java or Scala
  • Expertise with MicroStrategy report design, development, and performance optimization
  • Strong skills in Data Modeling, SQL, Analytical SQL functions, Graphs, and Styles
  • At least 1 year of scripting experience, preferably Python, Perl, or Shell scripting

  • Understanding of Data security and Role based access controls
  • Familiarity with Agile development
  • Exposure to QlikView/QlikSense including architecture, Publisher, QMC, Qlik Scripting,
  • Transformations, Direct Discovery, and Security
