Graduate Assistant- Health and Human Performance (17/18)
Marymount Graduate Students (accepted or enrolled) who are taking at least 6 graduate credits each semester are invited to apply for a part-time (1/3) Graduate Assistantship position in the Department of Health and Human Performance.
The position begins in fall semester and continues through the end of spring semester.
A 1/3 Graduate Assistant works 7 hours per week during each semester providing administrative support duties as described below.
A 1/3 GA receives a waiver of tuition for 3 graduate credits each semester of the assistantship.
â€¢ Accepted and or enrolled in a Marymount graduate degree program.
â€¢ Remains enrolled for at least 6 credits each semester of the assistantship.
â€¢ Maintains a minimum 3.0 GPA while enrolled in a graduate program.
â€¢ Accepted students enrolled full-time are given preference over part-time students.
â€¢ Academic record and community / professional service will be considered in decision-making.
â€¢ Candidates who will be available for at least 2 semesters, pending a strong performance review.
In addition, strong/preferred candidates will have:
â€¢ Expertise in Canvas, SPSS and/or SAS, and excellent library research skills.
â€¢ Solid oral and written communication skills are essential.
â€¢ Considerable flexibility of schedule.
â€¢ Experience with health and fitness assessment including body composition, blood pressure, and cardiorespiratory endurance testing.
â€¢ A nationally recognized personal training certification.
â€¢ Experience with social media (Twitter/Facebook).
