Position Overview
Freddie Mac has an opportunity for a Development, Senior to contribute to the development and maintenance of applications and processes in the Single Family Servicing and REO Department in the Information Technology Division. We are seeking a motivated individual who can design and develop applications and processes and provide L3 support to the Single Family Servicing and REO application inventory. As senior member of the IT team, the Individual would either independently lead the solution delivery of a project or a module of a project. The individual would champion of technology and tools changes/improvements that improves delivery processes and be a role model and technical mentor to the junior and midlevel developers, work alongside of highly collaborative, open minded, technology savvy and dedicated members. Our development team members are expected to work under limited direction and independently determine and develop approaches to solutions. Responsibilities include:
* Lead independently whole technical delivery from solution to deployment, contributing to the success of project(s).
* Understand Business needs and processes; identify solutions, present and guide project team/sponsors in identifying best solution.
* Participate in Requirements Analysis; design Applications based on System Requirements and Architecture, prototype if necessary, develop, unit test and deploy applications
* Champion efforts related to front end development and help establish new design patterns/elements across the department.
* Contribute to the enhancement of department application development/delivery standards, tools and processes.
* Learn new technologies and tools, promote top code quality by leading design and code reviews, and solve challenging issues related to performance tuning and scalability.
* Provide production support that includes evaluate defects, investigate cause and come up with solutions to address defects.

Basic Requirements
* 6 to 8 years of experience in Solution, Design and Development of web applications using the Java, Java EE, XML, Weblogic
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent working experience
* Experience in all aspects of system development life cycle methodologies including waterfall and/or agile development Front End/ Integration/ Build
* Experience in using Java presentation frameworks – Angular JS, and JQuery, HTML 5.0 and embedding applications using iFrames
* Integration experience using REST & SOAP based Web Services and JMS, preferably on Weblogic platform
* Hands-on experience with Build and Deployment tools and languages – Knowledge of integrating with Maven and GIT, Autosys and Shell scripting

* Strong backend experience to develop Data Layer using at least one of the ORM frameworks like Hibernate, JPA etc.
* Good knowledge of database concepts with working knowledge on SQL and Stored Procedures.

* Expert in Object Oriented Analysis and Design using Java and UML
* Expert in JEE patterns and ability to use commonly used on in real time situations

* Expert in tuning performance all tiers of applications on JEE platform.

Preferred Skills
* Experience with integrating applications and security access tools (IBM TAM) and Single Sign On setups
* Works independently on multiple projects. Also have ability to lead junior and mid-level developers in technology delivery.
* The candidate should have a strong ability to adapt and apply IT expertise to a varying array of issues relating to the support of Performing and Non-Performing Loan applications.
* Strive to constantly improve the application development processes and tools.
* Good communication and ability to convey technology solutions to business.
* Proactive in nature with customer satisfaction as primary goal.
* Quick learner of new technologies and tools.
* Experience in using Clear Case, DB2.
* Familiarity with Mortgage Industry.
* Strive to constantly improve the application development processes and tools.
* Innovative in providing solutions, likes to take on challenges with calculated risk.
