The George Mason University Intercollegiate Athletics Department in Fairfax, Va., is accepting applications for the position of Head Coach, Womens Volleyball. This is a full-time, 12-month, administrative faculty professional position. George Mason University is a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10). The university operates a NCAA Division I program. Responsibilities: * Overseeing and operating a Division I volleyball program; * Recruiting quality student-athletes; * Organizing and training student-athletes for competition; * Monitoring and supporting the academic success of student-athletes; * Planning comprehensive preseason and postseason conditioning programs; * Hiring, supervising and evaluating personnel; * Preparing and managing budgets and records; * Participating in public relations and promotional activities appropriate to the position; and * Carrying out other relative administrative duties.
Required Qualifications: * Advanced degree, or training and work experience at a level that equates to an advanced degree; * Demonstrated experience coaching at the college level and/or professional experience in the field of volleyball; and * Must be knowledgeable of and adhere to NCAA, conference and state rules and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications: * Two years of head or first assistant coaching experience at the NCAA Division I-level; and * Demonstrated national and international student-athlete recruiting experience.
