Summary: Responsible for the administration and operation of the MAP Program.

 

Education & Certification

 

Master’s degree in Special Education, School Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), or related field Board Certified Behavior Analyst or Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral Maryland state licensed Behavior Analyst or School Psychologist Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

 

Five years of experience in special education in an administrative/supervisory capacity Experience working with and an advanced understanding of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (specifically Level 1 and Level 2 without language or cognitive impairment) and related disorders School based experience Experience with educational programming/curricula appropriate for learning needs of students Extensive knowledge and an advanced understanding of behavioral principles and evidence-based assessment, treatment and instructional practices to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related disorders Knowledge of the cognitive and neuroscience research literature and application in areas such as theory of mind, executive functioning, perspective taking, and related skills Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise multidisciplinary teams Superior ability to train and supervise program staff, including staff development Demonstrated ability to create systems for supervision, progress monitoring, and ongoing assessment of all educational activities (e.g., student testing, related service provision, research) Ability to systematically assess program needs and initiate development to address identified areas of need Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational and time management skills Ability to manage a complex work environment Excellent oral and written communication skills Flexibility with regard to daily routine and responsibilities Support of school philosophy Computer skills related to common office tasks such as email, conducting internet searches, and using MSOffice (e.g., MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint)
