Job Description

We are looking for a Data Reporting Analyst who genuinely enjoys working with large datasets and is eager to expand their technical and analytical skills. The main job function is to be an expert on all data related to GEICO's umbrella insurance (designed to protect customers from major claims and lawsuits) and develop key reports for upper management. Responsibilities will also include developing innovative solutions to improve the product. The position will need to work closely with IT, Underwriting, Regional offices and Management.

 

As a Data Reporting Analyst, you will develop custom code to gather data from different sources, dynamically manipulate that data and feed the resulting output into reports. The work is highly visible and is relied upon by associates across GEICO, in particular, upper management. Applicant must be creative and possess good organization and quantitative skills. Understanding of personal line insurance to include; rating, underwriting process and procedure is highly recommended.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in the technology field or demonstrating analytical, statistical, and/or data management skills and 3.0 GPA
  • Strong computer skills, and knowledge of R, SAS, SQL (or other database language), and Excel
  • Quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to work under deadlines
  • Good interpersonal and teamwork skills  
  • Desired Qualifications

  • 1-3 years previous work experience in an analytical or programming role
  • Master's or other advanced degree
