Job Description Ready to make an impact?  If so, read on!   The Enterprise Security Operations Team is seeking a candidate to fill a Senior Systems Engineer position to support GEICO's security technologies. The accepted candidate will fill a new position in GEICO's expanding information security department and will play an important role in the protection of GEICO from threats to the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of GEICO's information and information systems. Additionally, you will provide 24 x 7 on call support for GEICO's security infrastructure systems as needed.


Candidate Qualifications:  
  • 3+ years of experience in IT
  • BS/MS - Computer or relevant Engineering discipline strongly desired
  • Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Strong understanding of networking and network components including subnets, DMZs, routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Security+ (must obtain within 6 months if not possessed)
  • CISSP (desired)
  • Networking certificates such as CCNA (desired)
  • Possess strong organizational and project management experience
  • Familiarity with VB script, PowerShell, Python and other scripting (desired)
