The Decision Sciences and Transformation (DSaT) department is seeking a highly motivated lead to implement new automated reports and explore data visualization techniques. The goal is to facilitate self-service for our users and make it simple for them to access the data that they need independently.

The candidate must have a proven track record of leading teams and delivering projects from inception to implementation. In addition, they must be able to contribute as a team player, multitask, show an appropriate sense of urgency, understand business needs and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Candidate Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in an IT leadership position
  • Advanced Microsoft SQL, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Qlik and MicroStrategy skills
  • Hands-on experience leading developers, providing feedback and direction on design and code reviews and development best practices
  • Knowledgeable on reporting and data visualization best practices
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills, including communicating technical issues to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously, manage change and work in a fast-paced environment
  •  Passion to innovate and provide solutions for Big Data and reporting analytics
  • Lead a team of developers implementing and maintaining new automated reports for a variety of sources including Sales, Service, Claims, Mobile and Multiline metrics
  • Determine the most effective method for displaying complex data sets
  • Identify new reporting techniques and tools that could be beneficial to GEICO
  • Coordinate work, establish processes and develop project plans
  • Coach and mentor staff to develop a highly productive team
