Responsible for the analysis, administration and support of voice, video, and/or data communications networks.  

 
    Analyzes, administers and maintains voice, video, and/or data communications networks. Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network administration and support.Experience working with, configuring, and troubleshooting Type I encryption devices Maintains network security and ensures compliance with security policies and procedures. Must possess a working knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, phones, & VTC related network hardware and software.Participates in and may lead aspects of major network installations and upgrades. In-depth knowledge of WAN architectures and ability to troubleshoot complex routing issuesDevelops and implements testing strategies and document results.  Knowledge of remediation methodologies in accordance with DISA compliance standards and checklistsExpertise in technical writing such as Policy’s, Standard Operating Procedures, and Technical Improvement PlansMaintains current knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications as assigned. Participates in special projects as required. Way require professional certification in one or more specific technologies, depending on job assignment. Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance.Must be able to achieve CCNA Certification (or equivalent) within 90 days of hire for positions requiring elevated privileges and ITIL V3 Foundation within six months of hire.This position may be required to complete short-term deployments to austere locations worldwide.
The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.

Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

Qualifications 2-5 years of directly related experience in network administration and support.

 1. Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a TS/SCI Security Clearance. 2. Must be able to achieve Security+ CE Certification (or equivalent) within 90 days of hire for positions requiring elevated privileges and ITIL V3 Foundation within six months of hire. 3. Additional specific certifications may be required, depending on job assignment. 4. This position may be required to complete short-term deployments to austere locations worldwide. 5.
