Configuration Manager I (Software Management) (TS/SCI w/ Poly)
General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is looking for a Configuration Analyst to provide software management lifecycle and reporting support within a mission centric 24x7 enterprise operations & data center(s) infrastructure. Candidate will support a wide variety of classified and unclassified networks dispersed over multiple geographic regions. The selected candidate will be responsible to provide technical, administrative, and operational leadership to assigned project or tasks. The candidate will perform the following duties: Provides configuration management support to assigned projects. 1. Analyzes engineering change proposals to determine the effect on the overall system. 2. Ensures configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness, proper authorizations, and system updates. 3. Performs various audits and documents results. 4. Monitors subcontractors and vendors to ensure that the applications of customer standards and requirements for the statement of work are properly implemented. 5. Develops configuration and data management documentation based on program requirements. 6. Participates in design reviews, audits, scheduling, budgeting, etc. 7. Identifies requirements and participates in the development and implementation of computer based configuration/data management systems and related support. 8. Participates in special projects as required. Education Bachelors Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience. Qualifications
- Must possess a current TS/SCI polygraph clearance
- 2-5 years of related configuration management experience. Support the 1st shift work schedule in a 24x7 mission Operations Center.Prior work experience on a large, geographically disperse networksKnowledge of ITIL service management processesKnowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in configuration management supportKnowledge of and familiarity with configuration management software applicationsEffective management skillsEffective administrative and organizational skillsKnowledge of desktop operating systems and applicationsAbility to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications. Experience managing hardware and software assets/configuration itemsProfessional certification in one or more specific technologies is required, depending on job assignment such as ITIL Foundations,etc.
