BDR Express, Inc. is experiencing its best growth in over 20 years. We are a family owned regional freight transportation company looking to fill our Accounting Manager position. We are looking for a reliable individual that will bring us financial leadership as we continue to expand. This position is for an accountant who will be responsible for the financial oversight of multiple entities. POSITION SUMMARY: The Accounting Manager will work closely with Sr. Leadership and Ownership, regarding finance and accounting procedures but also explore how the finance function can support operations. We are growing and our wish is for our Accounting Manager to offer fiscal guidance for that growth. POSITION DUTIES & REQUIREMENTS:Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, budgets and actual expendituresManage and oversee all accounting and human resource functions including AR, AP, cash receipts etc.Prepare consolidated financial statements - internal and external, by gathering and analyzing information from departments and the general ledger systemAssist leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process, administer and review all financial plans and compare to actual results.Analyze financial data and interpret the results for the senior leadership teamPerform/review monthly/quarterly account reconciliations (balance sheet, various P/L accounts)Complete monthly close proceduresManage cash flow forecasting by working with senior leadershipPreparation and processing of weekly payrollAnswer finance and accounting questions for senior management and ownershipReview and evaluate benefit packages REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:Bachelor's Degree accounting, finance or related field required5+ years of experience in accounting and/or finance requiredExperience overseeing payroll administration requiredExcellent knowledge of accounting software: Sage/Peachtree, Quickbooks, etc.Prior work experience in Small Business preferredWe are searching for a confident person with good business acumen.
