Position Summary: The Capture Manager is responsible for managing or providing oversight and direction to cross functional teams to win assigned business opportunities, from the point when the opportunity is selected for pursuit until the contract is awarded.Responsibilities:Plan, document, and manage the internal and external capture project effortsAnalyze the organization's strategic plans and productsAlign marketing intelligence with win strategyDetermine what the potential customer needs to fulfill the requirements of the opportunityConduct a competition analysisAssess pricing strategyGenerate a baseline and program planPrepare a plan for the proposal development phaseAppoint, supervise, and collaborate strategies with the Proposal ManagerServe as primary point of contact between the proposal documentation team and the program office solution teamMonitor, review, and direct weekly proposal progress from a top management perspective, ensuring adherence to the process and proposal scheduleProvide executive-level guidance to the Proposal Manager and Program Manager for development of the Executive Summary and other key proposal summariesParticipate as an independent proposal evaluator in all major proposals reviews Qualifications and Education RequirementsComplete understanding of capture management process that entails the development of management and technical approaches, cost volume management, teaming, pricing strategies and competitive assessments.Understanding of international business environment including typical terms and conditions and other typical bid requirements eg, Letters of credit, offset, holdback, warranties, etc.Proven record of success in leading winning capture effortsAbility to help formulate winning technical, management and cost strategiesAbility to lead and manage capture teams to produce a winning proposal within budget and schedule constraintsAbility to work and manage the capture effort with a minimum of supervisionBA/BS in an associated discipline. Required Qualifications/Experience:3+ years of experience supporting business development and/or capture activities in the Federal sectorProven track record in managing capture activities and developing winning bids of opportunities.Relevant contract operations experience Required Education/Certifications:BA/BS in an associated discipline. Preferred Skills/Experience:Secret or Top Secret Security ClearanceMilitary or law enforcement background, with experience in high-threat OCONUS security operationsExperience with US DOD and/or DOS security contracts#Zip
