This position will be responsible for vetting, coordinating and managing national/regional vendor accounts to achieve best in class service and pricing. They will coordinate all Requests for Proposals on an as-needed basis. The position will be required to maintain a current listing of approved vendors that will be accessed by all franchisees in the US. The position will be required to work closely with key franchisee council members to approve and disapprove vendor relationships. They will call on VP-level and above decision makers. Contact prospects and explain features and merits of services offered, utilizing persuasive sales techniques. Additionally, strengthen and develop new relationships with vendors that may provide services to our franchise community. The Vendor Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between companies network of vendors and the franchisees themselves. Responsibilities Develop an annual prospecting and cultivation plan to achieve annual revenue and profit goals. Develop relationships with targeted prospects to meet short term and long term objectives. Manage offer presentations and prospect meetings. Working with the senior leadership team and legal counsel, define terms of contract/deal. Maintain current understanding of competition's strengths and weaknesses. Ability to travel. Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of results. Manage a budget. Represent the company at various community and/or business meetings to promote the company. Promote positive relations with franchisees, vendors, and staff. Assess vendor categories and identify gaps and areas for improvement; research companies in identified categories that can fill gaps and best meet the needs of franchisees. Recommend strategy for categories and specific vendors to pursue and/or terminate. Negotiate pricing and/or service offerings from existing and potential vendors. Analyze potential vendors in new categories; compare prospective vendors to current ones in existing categories.Conduct ongoing communication with prospective and existing vendors, including responding to inbound inquiries and initiating outbound efforts.Approach existing vendors regarding relevant sponsorship opportunities. Maintain positive relationships with key vendor partners. Develop communications strategy to raise awareness of vendor offerings among franchise owners, including announcement of new vendors. Develop and conduct periodic surveys of existing vendors among franchisees; share the results with vendors and identify any areas for improvement.
