Summary We are looking for enterprise software developers to help us build data-processing and analytic tools using Python, a variety of databases (relational, nosql), and rich browser-based UI technologies. Candidate should have 5+ years of experience. Candidate must be a US citizen and have, or be willing to obtain, an active security clearance. General Skills Candidates should have deep understanding / extensive experience in the general software engineering areas of - Building client-server applications, to include defining protocols, handling errors, security (eg encryption), and testing. - Designing reusable APIs to include both library APIs and exposed web services APIs (REST, RPC, SOAP). - Use of message-bus architectures and message queue implementations. - Relational database schema design and implementation. - Horizontal scaling / concurrency via threads, non-blocking, actors, distributed worker processes, etc. - System performance analysis and tuning. Candidates should have significant experience with the following technologies / in these technical areas: - Python - (Python) WSGI frameworks / application servers (eg Falcon, Flask, CherryPy). - Network socket programming. - Linux system usage and administration, to include tracing problems in network stack or system utilization, package management, etc. - SSL, crypto Candidates should have experience/familiarity with: - Javascript SPA framework(s) (eg Aurelia, AngularJS , etc.) - Other browser-based technologies (HTML, CSS, etc.) - Build frameworks, continuous integration tools. - Source control (git), collaboration tools. Preference will be given to candidates who have: - Listed examples of open-source work (eg github accounts) - Interest and/or experience in data visualization - Experience developing services using Twisted, Tornado, or asyncio. - Experience with container (eg Docker) build and deployment - Experience with PostgreSQL - Experience developing for mobile platforms (native or web-based applications) Company Description: GRC develops solutions to some of the most challenging problems facing the United States Government.
