Our distinguished client, Morgan-Keller Construction, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager II to provide assistance for oversight of all phases of the construction project, including coordinating workers, material, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. Essential Duties:* Assist the Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager (APM) in managing technical and contractual issues.* Assist with oversight of all field personnel, subcontractors and vendors.* If stationed on the project site, assist Project Superintendent with daily site operations such as vendorcorrespondence, tracking and logging changes in scope of work, posting of drawing revisions to maintain recordsite drawing sets, obtaining competitive pricing for miscellaneous materials and subsequent issuance of MK workorders, assistance with maintaining a clean and professional work place within the office trailers, assist ProjectSuperintendent with maintenance of MK employee time sheets including timely submittal to MK main office,assistance with organizing and tracking delivery documentation including maintenance of field file copies andinsuring proper copies of the same are forwarded to MK office to be used for vendor payment backup.* Receive, review, and analyze bid documents (eg, specifications, scope, contract terms & conditions).* Assist with preparation of proposal documents.* Assist with obtaining consultant and vendor supporting documentation for change orders and back charges asdirected.* Coordinate project updates.* Maintain working documents files for project estimate back up.* Assist with preparation of cost analysis reports for record keeping and presentation to management as needed.* Develop correspondence regarding project information as directed by Project Manager or APM. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:* Ability to solve technical problems.* Strong fundamental knowledge of engineering and management principles and knowledge of businessprocedures.* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction software.* Strong communication, planning, and organization skills.* Multi-tasking ability with attention to detail.* Ability to prioritize while meeting deadlines.* Communication skills.* Ability to interact with various trades, managers and peers in a professional manner. Education/Experience:* Two year Associate degree in engineering, construction management, or architectural discipline.* 0-2 years experience in a construction related field .
